More popular with the Northern Ragnars than with Dicken, Kendall and Spiller. Despite this the Southern Ragnars contrived to produce two Games night Reviews, that can be read in Game Session Reports on this site.
If the meanderings of the Ragnars leave you still in the dark (down a mine shaft) about Silberzwerg, then don’t forget that you can find out plenty about the game at www.boardgamegeek.com . Here’s something to wet your appetite.
Players take control of a set of dwarves mining for gems to fulfil randomly distributed contracts. Each turn, players simultaneously decide where to send their dwarves. Four of the dwarves are simply miners and will mine a particular colour of gem, depending on placement. Players also have two boss dwarves, which can either be shadow dwarves (used to carry out evil actions on other players), or silver dwarves (usually beneficial actions for the player). Once a player has assembled the correct assortment of gems, he can fill his contract or one of the open contracts, however each turn that a contract isn't filled, its value is decreased. The first player to earn six hundred points is the winner.
